Clothes make a statement. Costumes tell a story

This halloween my friend and I decided to dress up as the characters from Money Heist- if you haven’t seen it I would definitely recommend watching it on Netflix as it’s a really good show and so intense! The outfit was an easy DIY costume that didn’t break the bank for me as a student so it was super easy to fix up.

In the show, they wear red jumpsuits and masks to rob a bank however, knowing that my friend and I would be going to a club hosting a halloween night, I opted for a red T shirt dress so that I wouldn’t get too hot later on. I went for this as well because I knew that it would be something that I would be able to wear again as it’s oversized so extremely comfy and also very reasonably priced. I got mine for only £8 from Missguided. I used a belt to give some more shape to the dress and the one I was wearing was only £5 from Peacocks and has a double buckle which I really like.
To make the outfit seem even more Halloween themed I wore some printed tights with the dress which I also got from Peacocks as well. The mask was super easy to find on Amazon for only £3 and when I wasn’t wearing it I tied it to my belt so that it was still a part of the costume and recognisable of what I actually was! I styled the outfit with some plain black heeled boots that I already owned so in total the whole costume came to under £20 and definitely included some items that I would wear again- though probably not the mask! It was a really fun night out and people recognised our costumes and complimented us on being original with them and I was happy to see that there weren’t any other money heist people in the club so I was very happy with our costume overall! It was also a great excuse to binge watch the show on Netflix again!

How did you guys celebrate Halloween? What did you dress up as? Let me know in the comments below!
Halloween is a day in which some people choose to wear a mask… while others finally feel safe to take theirs off
